What documents do I need to rent a vehicle from SIXT?
To rent a car with SIXT you will need a valid Egyptian driver's license or an international driver's license in English (for foreigners), with the physical copy of your local license. along with your national ID/passport and a credit or debit card under your name.
What are the requirements for international renters?
You must present a physical copy of the international license alongside your local license in English, a valid passport, and a matching valid credit card or debit card. For our Chinese customers you will need a notarized translation approved and stamped by the embassy.

Can I use someone else's Credit Card?
No. The card used for payment must match the name of the renter on the reservation.
What payment methods does SIXT Egypt accept?
We accept credit and debit cards (physical and under the renter's name). Visa, Mastercard and AMEX are supported. Cash, Maestro, Apple pay, prepaid cards are not accepted.
What insurance or protection options can I choose?
We have full insurance that offers coverage for any damage inside Top Cover reduces your hold by 50%. Full Insurance provides coverage fixes at a maximum deductible of 150 USD to any damages related to the vehicle's body (Tyres & glass aren't included) and includes vehicle license protection.
Is a digital driver's license accepted?
No, a physical driver's license is required.
Can I pick up the vehicle outside of branch hours?
Yes, but it must be arranged in advance. Extra charges may apply.
